For riders with a nose for pow days of the finest vintage, the Snommelier’s acute geometries and construction techniques combine for a unique kind of big mountain experience. Seat-of-the-pants speed is balanced by a velvet smoothness that locks your edges in for control and stability at the limits.
This season, it’s been levelled up with extra honeycomb to reduce weight even further. With its deep swallowtail and extensive nose, the Snommellier is Peter Bauer’s go-to on the biggest days. And, in keeping with the FUTURE SHAPES family, provides a riding sensation unlike anything else.
LOW CAMBER W/ EARLY RISE
A half-fat camber for all-mountain dominance. Its toned-down dimensions deliver a precise and lively feel much like Pop Camber, but with much improved deep snow performance and a more “broken-in” feel out of the shrink-wrap. In Amplid’s directional snowboards a touch of early rise is added to Cruise Camber to improve buoyancy even further.
OMNI CORE
This superlight wood core is the industry standard for lightweight, durable and versatile performance. We’ve tweaked this core so many times over the years there’s nothing left to improve.
CARBON POP BAND
A narrow band of unidirectional carbon stringers that run through the centreline of a ski or snowboard from tip-to-tail increasing pop and extending flex memory without altering torsional stiffness.
JEKYLL & HYDE GEOMETRY
Max effective edge and square centimeters for floatation in the minimum board or ski length. Unsinkable, but nimble pow shreds, sawn-off jib decks with huge pop and insane edge-hold or the ultimate all-mountain ski shape recipe.
FLOATATION TIPS
Ultra wide, low rising tips that exist purely to create lift in powder without sucking-up speed. They add a surfy feel to skis and snowboards.
SINTERED 7 BASE
Amplid’s ultra-high density sintered base goes like shit-off-a-shovel in all snow conditions. It is extremely hard and therefore more resistant to damage.
PRE-CURED IMPACT PLATES
Tough, pre-cured composite impact plates placed beneath bindings and touring hardware significantly reduce the risk of topsheet dings and breakages.
