I was told over the phone by a rep that these boots would have the same sole as the sandals which isn't true. The sandals never leave my feet hurting but I hurt so bad after wearing these one time that I will never wear them again.

With vibram soles and goretex lining in the uppers, you can't really go wrong, but Teva's wide toe box really sells the shoe for me. I've long accepted I'd be losing the toenails on my big toes when backpacking if I wanted my boots to fit the rest of my foot properly and have an acceptable form factor that prevents tripping, but the toe box on these shoes is wide enough that I've retained ALL my toenails :)!! Highly recommend!

Wear them to work in the emergency department, gardening and working outside.

Pros: True to size. Waterproof. Comfortable. Perfect amount of room in the toe box. Slight arch support. Cute. Speedy shipping made it to me before the rainstorm to enjoy a 10 mile hike to the falls. Cons: THE LACES WON'T STAY TIED. They are corded laces and I must have retied the laces 50 times on my 10 mile hike.

I want to love these shoes but they hurt my feet when I walk distances. They look great and I get a lot of compliments whenever I wear them. They run tight on the forefoot so I can't add more cushion or my feet go to sleep. I don't have wide feet either. If you have medium width feet I recommend buying the wide. Also, I wear an 8-8 1/2 shoe and bought the size 9 and they are the perfect length.

I love how they were ready to wear right out of the box! The wide toe area is so comfortable and the support is excellent. The waterproof is fantastic! They are great to hike in. I love how I can wear the shoes in any season, add wool socks for winter, and lighter socks for this warm weather. I wear these to work for 8 hours and my feet feel great. I also wear them casually because they're so cute. They do not feel bulky at all.

I really wanted to like these boots, but hiking was very uncomfortable. The laces always seem to constrict in the wrong places and the foot bed doesn't have support in the right places. So I down graded the shoes to Mtn Biking (less time actually walking) and they just are not comfortable to stand or pedal on either- I like the color and style, but that is about it.

These are the perfect boots for those that love Altras but need a slighter narrower fit. They have a comfy wider toe box with more volume than most boots (but not too wide that your foot is sloppy), the heel holds well and the ankle material is soft, and it is also a low drop boot. Great traction too. The only downsides are that my toes still hit the top of the boot on steep descents (not as bad as in the altras though). This is a common problem for me so I'm used to it, but might become bothersome for some. Also the insoles feel a bit weird to me and didn't fit my foot right. But they are removable! Once replaced, no issues! Teva, please don't stop making these boots!

I put them on day one and wore them shopping for several hours….. perfectly comfortable right out of the box! No break in time necessary!
