LOVE IT! I wore this skiing in below-freezing temperatures with a North Face base layer and (sometimes) a fleece. The color is as pictured, pockets where you want them, the hood fits over the helmet, has the elastic waistband to keep snow out. As someone new to snow sports, I'm not sure if the side opening is an advantage but it got the job done. There is a mesh lining that would occasionally snag on my nose ring so watch out for that. The material is on the stiffer side and the "crunch" sound from moving my head when my hood is up can be distracting.

I wear this for skiing. It has been great so far. I love the zipper on the side that makes it easy to put on. There is enough room to layer under so I can wear it through out the season.

Great jacket for skiing! It keeps me warm and dry and I love how it looks. I sized up so it would be slightly baggy and I could easily fit several bad layers underneath. Super comfortable, would recommend.
