This is the COOLEST JACKET I own!! I just received this Corefire Down Windstopper jacket in the olive green and I love it! I walk outdoors extensively and decided to purchase this jacket when I noticed that we were heading for another sub-zero week here in the midwest. I'm a loyal North Face customer and own numerous jackets, but my heaviest jacket wasn't quite handling the sub-zero weather. The fit is true-to-size. With its Goretex shell, high zipper and heavy hood, the experience is everything I'd hoped. I'd recommend this jacket to anyone.

There's a lot to this jacket, in terms of features. I wish the powder skirt was removable (like with a zipper). Same with the hand things. They are both great features to have when you're on the slopes, but not necessarily something you need for taking the dog for a walk, or shoveling the driveway. They both kinda get in the way when they're not needed. Especially if you like to wear a wrist watch, or other wrist jewelry. But that's nitpicking, I guess…minus one star for sizing, though. The small size is very small. BUT, the medium size is very big…in other words there's way too big of a gap between medium and small. I ended up losing a few pounds and decided to keep the small and return the medium. Looks like no pizza and wings for me…for the rest of winter!
