The Hinman is a self-inflating, high-density foam-core cold-weather pad with a two-way adjustable valve that makes inflation, deflation, and micro-adjustments easier than ever. The soft, stretch-fabric top provides a cushioned yet very durable sleeping surface. With options for cushioned thickness up to 4" / 10cm, these pads are a great choice when seeking durability and supreme insulation in colder temps. For maximum insulation in cold weather we recommend pairing with a closed cell foam pad.

Used this on a recent trip to Joshua Tree in December with temps in the low 30s. This thing is amazing. I've never been so comfortable tent camping before. Couldn't feel the cold at all and had plenty of room for two of us. I could have slept on this for weeks.

Comfortable pad, wide and great for car camping. Do not like the valve system as it's hard to reinsert orange section once you remove it.

After enjoying Big Agnes 4 for some years and having astrophotography camp outs scheduled for this year, I decided to splurge on a new Big House 4. It has worked so well -should be a no-brainer, right? Thoughts on the new Big Agnes 4. 1. Wait, false advertising. The picture shows a 2-panel, opens completely like a book, knapsack. Storage on the left and storage on the right. But what I received was ½ a knapsack. It does not have 2-sides and is impossible to organize. It does not fit the vestibule and is not what is represented in the video. (I called the rep and they were unhelpful, I tried to return the tent, unused, but they only offer a partial refund) 2. The zippers are of poor construction. They have no additional fabric on the sides so it's impossible to pinch and pull the zippers around. The previous BA had 1 'follow-around' well-constructed zippers. This new BA has a separate zipper for the floor. Then a separate zipper for the upper. There is a small gap in between that can allow bugs to enter. ( * The zippers are the main reason I tried to return the item) 3. Only 1 grommet on each strap. (There used to be 2 grommets.) Again, cutting corners? Gone are some unique features that made this (previous BA) tent a stand-out. The deep rows of pockets that ran around the inside of the tent and the cool welcome mat are gone. However, the rain fly does seem sturdier, and the center pole mechanism is well thought out and made. Would love to see these improvements made through-out the tent.

I bought the doublewide, 4in thick version of this, and it's great for car camping when space isn't at a premium. It's very comfy and warm, and it stays still when one person moves.

Best sleeping mat for car camping - thick, comfortable, quiet when you roll over, and the double works great for me and my partner in a 3-man tent. I sleep so well on it that I've been looking for extra opportunities to car camp - that from a diehard backpacker.

I've used this mat 3 times so far, and it fits great in a 50" wide suburban. We also used it in our tent. It's sturdy, soft, and comfortable. I recommend!

Most comfortable air mattress I've ever owned, used with the Dream Island 35° Doublewide Sleeping Bag. Inflation and deflation a breeze with the reversable valve. Compresses down to fit in a duffle bag but too large for a backpack. An equipment storage bag would be a nice addition to protect/transport the air mattress. #sweepstakes

Got this for car camping and it doesn't disappoint. Very comfy and love the self inflating. I do wish BA would sell a small pump to help push it over the top in terms of firmness.

Not the quality it use to be. I have one from 6 years ago. It works great, keeps air in, easy to fold up. I got two more for my parents and kids. The quality is awful. The air doesn't stay in, I can't find the leaks, it's just unusable. And since its like this for both new ones I purchased, I have to assume it's just how this product is. Don't buy.
