The feel & fit are great, and I like that it's a true 3/4, short enough to stay out of a ski boot, unlike some other brands. Also, they're not kidding around with the cool and cold ratings here. Maybe I run a little hot, but these are honestly a little too warm for most of my ski days, and I'd rate them int the < 25 category only. I'm sure I'll appreciate them on the really cold days, though. Plus all the standard benefits of all Smartwool products in terms of odor resistance, effective wicking, and plush comfort.

I replaced my poly base layer with these. I love them for the feel, as they're quite comfortable and plenty warm. The flexibility is great and doesn't limit mobility. Negatives: The waist rides quite high. Like, cover up a pot belly high. I prefer a high waist so it can't drop too low when I bend over or squat, but these are almost comically high. These are supposed to be 3/4 length, but they sit about a hand's length above the ankle. They dont interfere much with my boot, but I'd rather it not even be a concern. My biggest gripe is no functional fly. I feel like this should be a standard for a men's base layer. Combine that with the super high waist and it makes things more cumbersome than necessary. Overall I still feel these are an upgrade over my last base layer, so I'm happy with them, but I feel like some small tweaks could make a big impact.

Poorly designed - Way too long, and lacks a fly. I thought I received the women's version until I checked the tag and order.

Awesome! Received these just the other day and only had a chance to try them on. The 3/4 length is perfect for me as I am on the shorter side and full length base layers tend to gather around my ankles. I can't wait to wear these outside.

Fit is completely wrong. I ordered thermal and non-thermal versions both in the exact size and the thermal versions are for someone 50 lbs smaller than me while the other fit perfectly.

The fit is great, but I would have expected it to be softer on the skin
